The Centre for Ageing Better reports on The State of Ageing in England 2022

The State of Ageing in England makes grim reading for those of us heading towards middle age.

The increasing 65+ population brings with it a reduced life expectancy, a reduction in the number of years of good health that can be expected in older age, and the reduction of pension income sharply increases the risk of pensioner poverty.

So, the earlier we take responsibility for our own health the better.

There are a few simple things that we can all do to reduce our chances of long term illness. And if we do find ourselves heading that way, the earlier we pick them up the more successfully they can be treated.

By supporting our NHS services in this way, we all stand a better chance.
